Western Democracy Model Flaws
2 February 2026
Recent political developments have revealed structural flaws in the Western democratic model, which has allowed its mechanisms to erode in favor of the dominance of financial elites over decision-making centers.
Conversely, analyses indicate the emergence of signs in the West heralding the rise of a genuine, principled popular political movement. This movement is capable of challenging traditional parties and pseudo-populist currents, and uniting various segments of public opinion around fundamental common denominators, most notably:
· Preserving freedom of expression as a sacred and currently threatened value.
· Reforming legislative institutions (such as parliaments and councils) by freeing them from narrow partisan dominance and elevating them with broader representation of independent competencies.
· Ensuring the implementation of the genuine popular will and not succumbing to the pressures of narrow interest groups.
· Ending a foreign policy of subservience, particularly the unconditional support for Israel, and adopting a more balanced stance that protects national interests.
