Its so easy to criticize others. But it's heroic to criticize ones own actions and this is what Rabbi Yaron is doing. Self criticism is also encouraged by Quran and I will shed some light on it later on.

I agree with the Rabbi that nothing justifies the Holocaust.  It was enough for Hitler to fight and kill the evil principals of Jews, which he seemingly did successfully. Hitler's concerns regarding the behavior of the Jewish community have been covered by Quran,  but Quran didn't consider them justifying their killing. To the contrary,  while Quran warned Muslims of certain behaviors of Jews, it simultaneously encouraged Muslims to be highly kind to them and to other peaceful non Muslims as in chapter 60 verse 8 that says:

"Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly."

These are lessons learned for all of us, Jews and non-Jews. Rabbi is confirming many lessons reported by Quran regarding Jews, such as chapter 5 verses 62 and 63 that say:

"And you see many of them hastening into sin and aggression and the devouring of [what is] unlawful. How wretched is what they have been doing.  Why do the rabbis and religious scholars not forbid them from saying what is sinful and devouring what is unlawful? How wretched is what they have been practicing."

In doing so,  Quran is not being antisemit. Quran encourages Muslims to coexist with non-Muslims. Therefor, Quran had to offer such lessons unapologetically to prepare Muslims to coexist with non Muslims, but not to hate them.

Quran doesn't not criticize people or nationalities.  Quran criticizes behaviors and attitudes.

In many occasions, Quran has unapologetically criticized Muslims as well.  For example,  read Quran criticizing Muslims in chapter 61 verses 2 and 3 that say:

"O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do? Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do."

In fact,  Quran has unapologetically criticized the prophet Mohamed,  may peace and blessing of Allah be upon him.  See chapter 80 verses 1 to 11 that says:

"The Prophet frowned and turned away. Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified. Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him?. As for he who thinks himself without need, To him you give attention. And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge]. While he fears [ Allah ], From him you are distracted. No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder".

Therefore,  in chapter 7 verse 179, Quran criticizes those,  including Muslims,  who don't use their intelligence and other senses to draw meaningful conclusions. Quran equates people of such behaviors to animals,  and considers them even lower than animals:

"And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like livestock; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless."

Perhaps the most important lesson one could draw here is the need to read and the importance of reading.  As rightly stressed by Rabbi Yaron, it was a catastrophic mistake for Jews not to pay attention to Hitler's book where he mentions why he hated Jews.

During my dialogues,  I have also noticed some Muslims and many non Muslims attack Quran, without having read it.

No wonder why the very first verse of Quran that was revealed to prophet Mohamed was that of chapter 96 verse 1 that says:

"Recite in the name of your Lord who created"
