Earlier this morning, official sources in Dubai responsibly informed us that an airport's fuel depot had been attacked. Yet within moments, as one would expect in any resilient and civilized nation, while walking my cat, I watched an Emirates Airline aircraft soar across our clear blue sky, followed by another, as our skilled firefighters worked swiftly to extinguish the flames and police calmly directed the flow of traffic. Nearby, a new home is being built, and construction continues without pause. The aggressor persists in his attacks precisely because the UAE persists in functioning.

We take pride in building and in living. We find joy in managing challenges to create happiness for others, while others take pride in demolishing and shrouding the sky in smoke. That said, we also take pride in methodically documenting our damages and seeking due compensation from the aggressors. These attacks pose no threat to our existence, something I cannot say about the Iranian regime.

It comes as no surprise, then, that the Italian defense minister chose to cut short his family holiday in Dubai and return to Italy, leaving his family behind to continue enjoying their time here. This is no coincidence. It is because the world knows it can count on our defense system, one not rooted in the ideology of somber resolve embraced by desperate fascists.

Having witnessed firsthand the turmoil caused by the Iranian regime, and if this is a mere taste of the Iranian regime's dysfunction, it is incomprehensible to me what the Iranian people have endured over the last 48 years.
